Announcement

The Company wishes to:

1.      state that it does not know the reasons for the recent increases 
in the price and trading volume of its shares;

2.      advise that it is in a very preliminary study of the subscription 
of certain shares in a privately held company which engages in 
telecommunication business.

This statement is made at the request of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong 
Limited.

The Company notes the recent increases in the price and trading volume of 
its shares and wishes to state that it is not aware of any reasons for 
such increases save it is in a very preliminary study of the subscription 
of certain shares in a privately held company which engages in 
telecommunication business. The Company may or may not commence formal 
negotiation for the subscription of shares.

Save as disclosed immediately above, the Company confirms that there are 
no negotiations or agreements relating to any intended acquisitions or 
realisations which are discloseable under paragraph 3 of the Listing 
Agreement, neither is the Board of the Company aware of any matter 
discloseable under the general obligation imposed by paragraph 2 of the 
Listing Agreement, which is or may be of a price-sensitive nature.

Persons dealing in shares of the Company are reminded to exercise due 
caution.
